Today, Y4 have had the first of two fantastic art mornings with local artist, Jo Pickering Artist and Tutor. The children were taught to colour mix using acrylic paints then demonstrated their newly acquired skills to their adults! Each pairing were given part of a painting to recreate. At the end of the session, these individual pieces were then rearranged back together to make a giant version of the painting! All of the children realised it was the painting that we have been studying this term, The National Gallery's painting A Muse (Calliope) by Cosimo Tura. 🐘 Today, Y5 started their new science topic 'Animals Including Humans '. To kick it off, we looked at what a gestation period was and compared them in a range of mammals.
