EYFS

Nursery and Reception are both part of The Early Years Foundation Stage and our curriculum is designed for the children at Fairfield Primary School to be engaging, exciting and to ensure that all children get the best possible start in their school journey.

All children follow the new statutory Early Years Foundation Stage Framework 2021. This explains what and how your child will be learning. There are seven areas of Learning which are interlinked and we believe children learn best when they learn through play, exploration and active learning.

We follow the Little Wandle phonics programme and the White Rose Maths scheme in Reception.

We provide opportunities for children to learn through a mixture of adult led activities and child led activities and we give them as many different opportunities as possible.
